Example Accomplishments

• Broadband Engineer for GCI Internet. Designed and deployed cable modem, DSL and WISP (wireless ISP)
• networks serving over 25,000 customers.  As a Network Design Engineer for GCI accomplished successful
  design and implementation of multiple LAN/MAN/WAN internal and external networks inclusive of 
  documentation, training and support.  As a Network Specialist for the State of Alaska, Department of Health
  and Social Services, provided design, analysis, installation, long range planning and administration of WAN
  and multiple LAN’s. Developed many of the WAN standards still used throughout state government.
  Co-designed and installed first State Government WAN with Doug Grimm. Wrote custom WAN Watchdog
  program with automated WAN/LAN multiple fault detection and automated event logging and radio paging
  features. Employee of the Year, 1992.  VIP Employee awards 2002 and 2004.  Software developer in the 
  fields of Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, Business and Education. Developed an integrated bio-medical
  real-time 24-channel data acquisition & statistical analysis package for use in clinical psychology.

Telecommunications Engineer, We Byte Network Consulting.  Specializing in IP LAN/MAN/WAN network
design, deployment, troubleshooting and audits.  Special emphasis on network security, disaster recovery,
wired/wireless integration and data/voice network integration.  Extensive experience with traffic shaping and
other satellite bandwidth utilization optimization and prioritization technologies.

Network Design Engineer II, GCI (General Communications, Inc.)  Engineer of GCI's state-wide Cable
Modem, DSL Modem and wireless broadband networks.  Also designed and deployed numerous private
LAN's, MAN's and WAN's for both internal and external GCI customers.
